His early vision included a large boulevard expanding from the ocean westward to the limit of the Everglades with artificial lakes on every side of the roadway. Another of Young's vision was segmenting Hollywood into districts, a pioneer of the present days zoning regulations, with a business district, large parks and green spaces, golf courses, schools, and places of worship. In February 1921 Young acquired at $175 per acre the first parcel of land that would grow into Hollywood today. Young was as smarter and successful in attracting people to visit the city and buy a property in Hollywood. However, he worked hard in rebuilding the city which, by this period before the hurricane, Hollywood had expanded its existing stock of homes and the new residences to the western area, now known as Hollywood Hills. And due to the hurricane, Young found himself in a very bad financial situation. But, finally his last vision and dream became a reality: Hollywood Seaport was born. Joseph Young died at the age of 51. The city was continually growing until the present day. Real Estate market is a non-stop success in Hollywood City as its visionary Joseph Young had predicted it.
