Hialeah Gardens: Home For Sale in Hialeah Gardens
Hialeah Gardens was incorporated in 1948 with no more than 12 individuals to establish a new town. They gathered at Youngblood’s Filling Station at Walter Ohlert’s tourist camp. The small community soon counted with 26 listed voters and hats for police men were bought. The main activity of the town was related to the raise-horse industry and just a few limited businesses at Okeechobee Road were seen by 1968.
Now, Hialeah Gardens has become a very desirable destination for tourists since the city’s location and closeness to important roadways make the whole area look so attractive. The city counts with a population of about 20,000 residents, beautiful single-family homes and a commercial area. Many green spaces are maintained to give residents the best quality of life with recreational activities included for all ages. Recreational services are fully provided by the Parks and Recreation Department in four major Parks and also in many little others within the neighborhood. The Westland Park, which is one of the major ones, is currently being restored and many new amenities are being added. Residents and visitors can fully enjoy family celebrations at indoor or outdoor facilities for a very low cost where swimming pools, tennis, baseball and basketball courts are available. Another major park is Golden Eagle Park which is fully equipped and designed for children of 12 years old and under. There is another important park in Hialeah Gardens which was created with family gatherings in mind: Joe Sherron Park. Hialeah Gardens is growing and has lots of upcoming projects for its community such us: racketball courts, soccer field, a new computer center, parking facilities and many housing projects. Hialeah Gardens is a place to invest in and call home.
