Beaches
Surfside Beach: it’s a quiet beach for swimming and sunning. It’s located in a residential area ( Collins Avenue ) from 88th Street to 96th Street . It has limited parking, but you can park for a fee at 93rd Street Community Center.
Haulover Beach Park: if you are looking for a picnic area this is the right beach to go. All facilities, restrooms, wheelchairs for rent, barbecue grills, golf courses, kite flying area and tennis courts. Parking fee. You also can opt for a clothing or non-clothing area in the northern part of the Park.
Miami Beach Central: it is located (Collins Avenue) from 21st Street to 46th Street. It has lifeguards towers, food & drink, beach chairs and umbrellas for rent, restrooms and showers. Many people enjoy walking or working-out along the dunes. Good option for trainers and for people who just want to forget all those stressed days at the office by taking a deep breath, relax and walk.
Miami Beach / South Beach: it can be found at Collins Avenue and 21st Street. Gay and Lesbian beaches on 5th Street and Ocean Drive. South Beach offers a vibrantly painted area with fanciful lifeguards towers. Parking fee. It’s a very recommended place for those who enjoy watching, walking, jogging or skating. It is also a good choice for painters and plastic artists.
North Shore Open Space: it’s located ( Collins Avenue ) from 78th to 87th Street. It has a green park with a walkway on the soft sand. There are picnic areas, restrooms, showers and parking. There’s also a calm part which is perfect for families.
Virginia Key Beach: it’s an isolated place for those who seek for privacy. It can be found to the South of Rickenbacker Walkway, East of Biscayne Bay.
“Celebrity scene”
Miami has been titled the number 1 city in the country for its Latin beat. Record labels such as Polygram, EMI, Sony and WEA have their Latin American workplaces in Miami. Latin artists Jon Secada, Ricky Martin and Enrique Iglesias base their homes in Miami. On the other hand and in all music styles many musicians and artists such as Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Aerosmith and The Bee Gees have had their recording sessions in this number 1 city. Celebrity actors also make the scene in Miami and you may find some of them at restaurants or at live venues dancing Latin Jazz: Al Pacino, Jennifer Lopez, Cindy Crawford, Harrison Ford and Jack Nicholson.
