The City of Coral Springs is known as “The City in the Country”. It was integrated as a City in July of 1963. It is one of the most productively designed communities ever built. Coral Springs is also recognized for its valuable schools, rich parks, eye-catching neighborhoods and healthy-athletic programs. All this together attracts a vast number of visitors every year who like to invest in Coral Springs. Investments are mostly related to Real Estate. The kind of single-family homes constructions, apartment complexes and location, location, location; is giving the City a reputation of a “high-status” housing community. Merchant sellers and offices corporations rapidly moved to Coral Springs as a nicest-business-looking City. But prior to this, the city was part of an enormous land area purchased by Henry “Bud” Lyons in 1911. He cleared up the land helped by Bahamas’workers. Lyons died in 1952 and left everything to his children who adapted the land to be used as a cattle farm. The whole area was severely affected by some hurricanes in 1947. Canals were created by the Central and Southern Florida Flood Control District to drain the land which is called today Coral Springs.
It is also know that after the World War II, another Real Estate boom in South Florida started, similar to the land expansion in 1920’s. A development firm called Coral Ridge Properties, begun developing communities in Broward County. The firm made the land qualified to be integrated as a City under the Florida law. And since then the city is a non-stop growing-healthy community. The city counts with lots of cultural programs, recreational activities for all ages, world-class facilities, an Art Museum renamed The Coral Springs Center of the Arts, The Aquatics Complex, fitness centers and diving pools. Housing projects, residential properties and Real Estate Investments made the City as “built-out” in the 90’s. And in the early stages of the new millennium, Real Estate investors increased the City rating to AAA.
