Getting your credit report done the right way

When buying a home as well a when applying for a mortgage loan, you need to get your credit report done the right way since it is going to be requested by the mortgage lender. It is commonly seen that every item on your credit report may have something wrong, even if only insignificant. Do not accept any of the accuracies, but be sure to note down all inaccuracies.  Best thing you can do is writing next to each wrong item something like, "not mine, not correct, incorrect item, absolute error," or whatever you consider suitable to the situation. Ask for a copy of the well done report within thirty days. If you don’t receive a response from them within 30 days, insist by sending another letter. In this new letter you must include a copy of your original previous letter along with the new letter resolutely requesting they take out the disputed information. You can receive a letter from the credit bureau asking you to call. Keep in mind that all phone conversations are taped, so you might want to keep yourself sending letters without forgetting to include copies of your previous letters. Credit bureaus usually forward your claim to the individual creditors. The creditor has  legally 45 days to respond back. If he/she doesn’t reply within the selected time the item must be removed. But, if he/she replies at a later date with information that can document the credit statement is accurate, the item will be sited back on your credit report.
